Marla Aboulafia was born and raised in Long Island, New York.

She is a graduate of Connecticut College with a B.A. in Psychology and is the owner and founder of MRA Interiors, a full-service interior design firm.

As an “empty nester” with two grown children of her own, Marla found herself thinking back to their childhood and the books they loved to read.  Writing has always been a passion and after completing some classes, she gravitated towards children’s picture books, captivated by their special ability to engage a child’s imagination and create lasting impact.

Marla lives in North Stamford, Connecticut with husband Matthew and two dogs Mindy and Rudy. She is devoted to her creative writing, while still running her interior design business. The House with a View of Everything is Marla‘s third published book following Timothy's Toystore Adventure and Fiona's Fabulous Freckles.
